Dasic has achieved the coveted status of full ATEX Certification for its Orbitor range of Tank Cleaning Systems; allowing the product to be used in explosive environments.
After rigorous testing of the product and factory processes, the certificate was awarded covering the full temperature range available under the testing criteria for Zone 0.
Managing Director, Mike King said,
‘We believe we are unique, as the Orbitor can be used in explosive environments across the entire temperature range the certification allows. This gives customers the assurance that their tanks will be cleaned to the highest possible standards when operating in the most hazardous of conditions’.
The Orbitor Tank Cleaning System comprises of 5 core configurations and through simple programming can be optimised to suit most applications. Dasic has supplied systems for use in marine environments and industrial applications including hygienic areas such as food & drink and pharmaceutical.
Technical Director, Jason Osborne, said
‘It’s important to note that Dasic has achieved full ATEX Certification. People are often confused by terms such as ‘complies with ATEX’ or ‘ATEX exempt’. In our view, if operating in a hazardous or potentially explosive environment, you will require a product such as the Orbitor, which covers the full temperature range’.
